Reference Data Services Sr Analyst - Regulatory Segment Recommending Unit (RSRU), Assistant Vice President

In this role, you will be a part the Regulatory Reporting Recommending Unit (RSRU) team and the core responsibilities are: Reviewing Obligor information available in the public domain and recommending the appropriate Basel Counterparty type based on the regulatory interpretive guidance. Counterparty type information is a key attribute consumed in RWA calculations. Liaising and providing the required facts and evidence to the second line of defense function at Citi in order for them to review and challenge RSRU’s recommendation on the counterparty type. Supporting with Audit requests pertaining to Regulatory Segment recommendation. Involved in the many diverse activities that the team engages in, to support the overall RSRU’s Book of Work. Key Competencies Subject Matter Expertise * Familiarity and academic knowledge of banking business model including, products, counterparties, risk profile, earning drivers, and macro-economic implications * Experience with and knowledge of control environment associated with RWA calculations * Demonstrated history of facilitating and driving initiatives to grow or change the bank in a program or project management capacity * Strong understanding of bank risk and control frameworks​ Partnership & Collaborative Success * Desire to partner with other stakeholders in the firm to drive objectives to delivery * Strong interpersonal skills to identify and resolve conflict to mitigate roadblocks Acumen & Communication * High degree of self-advocacy, motivation, and development * Highest level of professionalism and business acumen Creative Problem Solving * Ability to understand complex ideas and problems in a fast-paced environment * Ability to design data-driven technology solutions to create actionable information to answer business questions * Strong ability to identify, communicate, and advocate for solutions at both high and granular levels * Superior attention to detail, accuracy, and scope * Innovation mind set and intellectual curiosity Technical Skills * Proficient in excel, tableau, SQL, and other data mining applications * Able to learn new systems quick and maximize potential of available tools Responsibilities: * Exercises full leadership and supervisory responsibility over Operations Support department typically consisting of multiple teams. * Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for staffing, pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc. Determines hiring to ensure adequate staffing. * Recommends new work procedures with broader scope of impact. * Deals with variable (occasionally complex) issues with substantial potential impact. * Directly impacts the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning. * Responsible for opening and maintaining customer sub-accounts or product pricing setups, and actively ensuring that customer/product data details and settlement instructions across a variety of systems remain up to date. * Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. * Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. * Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. * Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
