The Tool & Die Maker is primarily responsible for making and repairing molds for injection of plastic products. The Tool & Die Maker lays out, machines, fits, assembles, and finishes metal parts to build molds.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Study blueprints of product and die or mold for computation of specifications.
- →Plan sequence of operations, visualizing shape of die or mold in reverse of product.
- →Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock to lay out for machining.
- →Grind parts to fit parts for assembly and to smooth and finish cavity.
- →Assemble die or mold, Verifies dimensions.
- →Repair of molds as needed.
- →Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years experience in similar position.

Frequent standing; walking; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
