Freight Type – No-touch dry van
Home Time – Every other weekend
Weekly Pay – $1,350 to $1,500

Knoxville sits at the intersection of several major freight corridors, creating consistent opportunities for long-haul freight movement throughout the Southeast and Midwest. This CDL-A truck driver position runs within a structured over-the-road network where freight stays active, routes remain organized, and dispatch planning helps reduce unnecessary downtime between loads.

Compensation & Benefits

Drivers in this operation generally earn between $1,350 and $1,500 weekly depending on freight volume and experience. Payroll is processed on a dependable weekly schedule. Eligible drivers receive access to medical, dental, and vision coverage along with paid vacation and retirement plan options. Approved drivers may also participate in rider and pet programs while on the road.

The Operating Schedule

This position follows a 12-day running cycle with 48 hours home every other weekend. Freight is commonly preplanned in advance to support smoother transitions between deliveries and reload assignments. That planning helps drivers maintain a more consistent routine while continuing to generate reliable weekly mileage throughout the month.

Equipment Details

Assigned tractors are 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth models equipped with automatic transmission, APUs, inverter systems, and refrigerators. Trucks are maintained through scheduled preventative maintenance programs designed to keep equipment operating efficiently and reduce avoidable downtime. Depending on available parking, drivers may be permitted to take assigned equipment home during reset periods.

Freight Flow

Freight consists primarily of no-touch dry van loads operating across established interstate lanes. Many shipments include drop-and-hook freight opportunities that help reduce delays at shipping facilities and improve trip efficiency. Average haul lengths typically range from 700 to 750 miles, supporting consistent movement and dependable weekly earnings.

Driver Support

Orientation travel, lodging, and meal arrangements are provided. Support staff remains available throughout each trip to assist drivers with dispatch coordination, routing concerns, and operational questions while on the road.
