~1 min read- →Specimen Collection: Perform specimen collection procedures following established protocols and standards. This includes urine collection and other methods as required.
- →Patient Interaction: Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner to explain procedures, alleviate concerns, and ensure patient comfort during specimen collection.
- →Labeling and Documentation: Accurately label specimens with patient information and ensure proper documentation of collection details, including date, time, and type of specimen.
- →Maintaining Cleanliness and Sterility: Maintain cleanliness and sterility of collection equipment and work area to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- →Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of collection supplies, ensuring an adequate stock of materials is available at all times.
- →Quality Control: Participate in quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected specimens, including performing proficiency testing and adhering to quality assurance protocols.
- →Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing specimen collection, including HIPAA regulations and laboratory safety guidelines.
Requirements

- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle patient inquiries and concerns with empathy.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (MS Office, electronic health records, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
