The Lake Joseph Club is Hiring! The Horticulturalist/Gardener is responsible for the enhancement and quality of the landscaped areas at the ClubLink property. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while being exposed to all facets of gardening.
Aid in the design of new gardens. Prune, fertilize, and apply other gardening techniques as required. Advise, obtain quotes, and assist in the purchasing of horticultural tools, supplies, and materials.
Knowledge, understanding, and experience working in all areas of garden design and plants. Diploma or certificate in horticulture or equivalent considered an asset. A self-starter and able to work independently with minimal instructions.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Aid in the design of new gardens.
- →Prune, fertilize, and apply other gardening techniques as required.
- →Advise, obtain quotes, and assist in the purchasing of horticultural tools, supplies, and materials.
- →Select the appropriate plants for new and existing gardens at the Club.
- →Spray plants to control pests and diseases.
- →Plant and maintain all gardens to the high standards of ClubLink.
- →Create and implement a five-year plan for on-course gardens and native areas.
- →Keep accurate records of tasks and duties performed.
Requirements
~1 min read- Knowledge, understanding, and experience working in all areas of garden design and plants.
- Diploma or certificate in horticulture or equivalent considered an asset.
- A self-starter and able to work independently with minimal instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Have both excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High regard for the health and safety of self and others.
