We are looking to bring on a motivated and hands-on Geotechnical Engineer with 2 years of experience to join our talented team in North QLD. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a supportive environment, working on meaningful infrastructure, transmission and renewable energy projects that help you develop into a well-rounded Geotechnical Engineer. This role can be placed in any of the CMW Geosciences North QLD office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the technical team to develop technical solutions using an understanding of engineering and geological principles based on experience gained.
  • Undertake technical and non-technical tasks at the direction of senior professional personnel with support and training when required.
  • Carry our fieldwork, data collection/processing and design and reporting.
  • Work at the direction of senior technical staff to support in progressing all aspects of project delivery.
  • A Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science Degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience e.g. as part of a consultancy / geotechnical consultancy.
  • Onsite experience
  • Previous exposure to proposal preparation and technical report writing
  • A full Australian drivers license
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Additional Day Leave on your Birthday
  • Provision of minimum of 50 hours Training / CPD per year and paid membership to Engineers Australia
  • Office social events throughout the year
