At Colibri Group, culture is at the heart of everything we do. Our values Love, Joy, Boldness, Teamwork, and Curiosity—guide how we work together, support our customers, and make a difference in the communities we serve.

Colibri Group is a leader in online professional education, serving more than one million learners each year across a family of trusted education brands. As a growing enterprise with significant cash flow and a complex capital structure, strong treasury leadership is critical to how we manage liquidity, reduce leverage, and support the long-term financial health of the business.

We’re looking for a Director of Treasury to serve as Colibri Group’s senior treasury leader, with ownership across cash forecasting, working capital, leverage and liquidity management, lender reporting, and financial risk oversight.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible and hands-on leadership role. You will help ensure we understand where cash is coming from, where it is going, how effectively we are managing working capital, and how our liquidity and leverage position supports the broader financial strategy of the company.

We’re looking for a builder, someone who has successfully created, rebuilt, or significantly improved treasury processes and can operate effectively without extensive handholding. You should be equally comfortable working in detailed financial models, coordinating information across the organization, engaging with lenders and executives, and translating complex financial information into clear actions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve Colibri’s 13-week rolling cash flow forecast, including detailed visibility into receivables, payables, payroll, capital expenditures, debt service, and other key cash drivers
  • Own enterprise working capital and liquidity management, including DSO, DPO, net working capital, free cash flow initiatives, scenario planning, and forecast-versus-actual analysis
  • Manage debt and lender compliance activities, including covenant calculations, leverage and coverage ratios, borrowing base certificates, revolver capacity, and proactive identification of liquidity or compliance risks
  • Partner closely with the CFO on lender relationships, quarterly lender calls, Investor Relations support, anticipated Q&A, addback schedules, Rating Agency reviews, and executive- and Board-ready materials
  • Oversee treasury operations and strategy, including banking relationships, cash positioning, payment solutions, treasury technology, interest-rate hedging, insurance, and support for refinancing, M&A, and capital markets activity
  • 8+ years of progressive corporate treasury experience, including at least 3 years at the Senior Manager, Director, or comparable leadership level
  • Direct, hands on experience managing cash forecasting, working capital, liquidity, and debt within a mid-market or large enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience building, significantly improving, or redesigning treasury processes rather than simply maintaining established processes
  • Experience with lender compliance reporting, financial covenant calculations, borrowing base certificates, credit facilities, debt servicing, and leveraged capital structures
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CFA, or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation is strongly preferred

Tools, Platforms, and Methodologies You May Use

Experience with every tool, platform, or methodology below is not required. We are most interested in your ability to understand complex treasury environments, build strong processes, and quickly learn new systems.

  • Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
  • ERP platforms such as Workday, Oracle, or NetSuite
  • Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and scenario analysis
  • Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools
  • Cash forecasting, working capital analysis, covenant reporting, and interest-rate hedging methodologies
  • Work directly with the CFO on highly visible initiatives that influence Colibri’s financial strategy
  • Take ownership of a treasury function where you will have the opportunity to build, improve, and create meaningful change
  • Help shape how a large, cash-generating organization manages liquidity, leverage, working capital, and financial risk
  • Gain exposure to lender relationships, capital structure decisions, refinancing activity, and executive- and Board-level financial discussions
  • Partner across Finance, Accounting, Legal, Operations, Payroll, and business leadership in a role where your expertise and judgment will have a visible impact

You may not check every preferred box, and that is okay!!

We are open to candidates from private equity-backed, privately held, or public companies who have worked in complex treasury environments with meaningful debt exposure. You may currently be a highly experienced Senior Treasury Manager ready to step into a Director role or an early-tenure Director looking for an opportunity to take greater ownership and build.

Experience supporting Investor Relations, Rating Agency reviews, corporate insurance, M&A, refinancing, or every type of hedging activity is a plus, but we are willing to flex in these areas for someone with the right treasury foundation, learning agility, and problem-solving mindset.

However, this role does require direct corporate treasury experience, meaningful hands-on experience with debt and liquidity management, and a demonstrated ability to build or substantially improve processes.

If your recent treasury experience has primarily focused on investing excess cash or managing cash portfolios without direct responsibility for operational cash flow, debt servicing, lender compliance, and broader treasury operations, this may not be the right opportunity.

If you enjoy getting into the details, solving complex problems, building better processes, and creating the financial visibility leaders need to make strong decisions, we would love to hear from you.

We want our interview process to give you a clear picture of the role, the team, and what it’s like to work at Colibri while giving us the opportunity to understand your experience, how you approach your work, and what you’re looking for next.

While the exact process may vary slightly, you can generally expect:
