Handyman (Part-Time)

• →Develop a schedule of basic maintenance tasks
• →Complete required maintenance tasks in a timely manner
• →Ensure repairs are made timely in a way that is safe and in compliance with the local laws and regulations
• →Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and structural components including appliances, fans, lights, flooring, carpets, paneling, doors, etc.
• →Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, spackling, and basic electrical or plumbing work
• →Advise management when an outside contractor may be necessary
• →Review contractor estimates to ensure they accurately reflect the required repairs and reasonable job costs
• →Follow OSHA guidelines for safety and the proper handling of tools
• →Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
• →Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• →Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, 
  central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing

• High School Diploma or GED with three years of maintenance experience
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
• Ability to work safely with hands and power tools
• Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills

• Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion may be required
• May be required to utilize own vehicle or company provided vehicles
• May be required to lift or move 25+ pounds
• May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases
