Responsibilities

→Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA general industry regulations and company safety policies
→Conduct routine floor audits, inspections, and behavioral observations to identify hazards and ensure safe work practices
→Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and recommend corrective/preventive actions
→Track and maintain OSHA recordkeeping (e.g., OSHA 300 logs, incident reports)
→Deliver safety training for employees, including new hire orientation and job-specific hazard awareness
→Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to implement hazard controls and continuous improvement initiatives
→Support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for fabrication processes
→Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
→Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning
→Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, engagement, and communication

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field with 2+ years of relevant industrial safety experience
OR
High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant industrial safety experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards (29 CFR 1910)
Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and safety training
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work second shift (4 PM – 2 AM) consistently

Requirements

Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement principles
Experience with behavior-based safety programs
Proficiency in safety management systems and reporting tools

Nice to Have

OSHA 30-Hour General Industry
ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
First Aid/CPR/AED certification

Requirements

Ability to work in an active industrial/fabrication environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
Ability to walk the production floor for extended periods, climb stairs, and wear required PPE
