JOB SUMMARY
The Process Engineer Manager will lead a team of highly experienced Process Engineers in the development, optimization and sustainment of the repair process for aviation, marine and industrial turbine engine components and shall ensure safe, compliant, repeatable and cost-effective methods and processes.  This position shall provide technical support for approved repair processes, manual repairs, airworthiness directives (AD), service bulletins, and new repairs and processes.  The successful candidate will lead the team as the main agent of change in the continuous improvement process within the company.
 
The Process Engineer Manager partners closely with the Production and Quality Department and other Engineering positions to achieve on-time delivery, cost targets, customer quality expectations and to ensure all repair operations meet regulatory, OEM and internal compliance standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.     Oversee the safety and well-being of the team in accordance with the company standards. Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
2.     Provide direct managerial oversight of Process Engineers.
3.     Lead, coach and develop the team of engineers assigned.
4.     Coordinate, plan and direct all activities of the repair process and department assigned that may contribute to the repair of the turbine engine component.
5.     Oversee process development and improvement and establish guidelines and expectations for team members.
6.     Ensure that the repair processes, and designs of tooling and fixtures meet requirements and are engineered correctly and efficiently.
7.     Confirm that all engineering documentation complies with approved technical data, regulations and/or customer requirements and are current to the latest revisions. This includes manufacturers overhaul manuals, service bulletins, part specifications, standard practice manuals, FAA AD’s, and other FAA approved data.  
8.     Own technical evaluation and justification for tooling & equipment upgrades, capacity expansions and automation.
9.     Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate the plan to your team.
10.  Monitor assigned work while reviewing completed jobs/projects to ensure adherence to work scope and company expectations.
11.  Perform functions, such as performance reviews, employee development, accountability of team members, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action.
12.  Identify and implement personal development plans for the team and identify succession planning requirements.
 
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.     Ten or more years of engineering experience, preferably in the aerospace industry, with emphasis on aircraft repair, OEM applicable technical data and regulatory requirements.
2.     Bachelor’s degree in technical or engineering field.
3.     Previous experience in leading, directing and controlling a team, process and project in the engineering field.
4.     Exposure to and a demonstrated ability to challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks and work activities while creating and implementing creative and innovative solutions.
5.     Experienced leader with the ability to coach and influence others across all levels of the organization.
 
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
1.     Strong planning, organization and time management skills.
2.     Demonstrated ability to multi-task while adhering to a high attention to detail standards.
3.     Strong communication skills: ability to translate technical issues into clear actions for operations and leadership highly preferred.
4.     Understanding safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
5.     Knowledge of turbine engine components, operation, and Part 145 repair station processes, rules and regulations helpful.
6.     Highly experienced in MS Office and other support programs used in the field of engineering.
7.     Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
 
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1.     This position has pre-employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.
2.     Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection.
3.     Stand and/or sit for portions of the shift. 
4.     May be required to lift heavy equipment using hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other handling methods.
