The Coupang Intelligent Cloud (CIC) organization is building the next-generation cloud platform that powers Coupang's rapidly expanding business. CIC provides the foundational infrastructure, cloud services, platform capabilities, and operational excellence that enable engineering teams across the company to innovate at scale.
As a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager, you will drive large-scale, cross-functional initiatives spanning cloud infrastructure, compute, networking, storage, AI infrastructure, platform services, operational excellence, reliability, capacity management, and cloud business growth. You will partner closely with engineering leaders, principal engineers, product leaders, finance, security, and operations teams to define strategy, build execution plans, and deliver business-critical outcomes.

This role requires a unique combination of technical depth, organizational leadership, operational rigor, and strategic thinking. You will lead complex programs that influence the direction of CIC, establish scalable operating mechanisms, and ensure alignment across multiple organizations. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while driving execution with urgency and accountability.
The ideal candidate can speak the language of engineers, understand large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, influence without authority, and navigate ambiguity while delivering measurable results.

• →Lead strategic, organization-wide programs across cloud infrastructure, platform services, AI infrastructure, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
• →Define program strategies, success metrics, execution frameworks, and operating mechanisms that scale across the CIC organization.
• →Drive end-to-end program ownership from vision, planning, and roadmap development through execution and operationalization.
• →Partner with engineering leaders and principal engineers to prioritize investments, manage dependencies, and accelerate delivery of critical initiatives.
• →Drive large-scale platform transformations involving architecture modernization, reliability improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
• →Establish governance mechanisms, executive reviews, risk management processes, and business reporting frameworks.
• →Identify organizational bottlenecks, process inefficiencies, and system gaps, and implement scalable solutions to improve execution.
• →Lead initiatives involving infrastructure scalability, cloud adoption, capacity planning, service availability, and operational readiness.
• →Analyze complex technical and business data to drive prioritization, decision-making, and resource allocation.
• →Define and track organizational KPIs, operational health metrics, reliability goals, and business outcomes.
• →Build strong partnerships across engineering, product, security, finance, procurement, and business teams to achieve company objectives.
• →Drive executive-level communications, presenting program status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• →Establish and continuously improve operational excellence practices across engineering teams.
• →Mentor TPMs and contribute to the growth of program management excellence within CIC.

• 12+ years of experience leading large-scale technical programs in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, enterprise platforms, or related technology domains.
• Proven experience driving organization-level initiatives across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, networking, storage, compute platforms, and modern software development practices.
• Experience managing highly complex cross-functional programs with significant technical and business impact.
• Demonstrated ability to define strategy and translate ambiguous business objectives into executable plans.
• Experience driving programs across the full software development lifecycle, from concept through deployment and operational support.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage metrics and data to influence decisions and measure outcomes.
• Experience identifying root causes, managing risks, and solving complex organizational and technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across organizations without direct authority.
• Demonstrated leadership in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience working in hyperscale cloud, infrastructure, platform engineering, AI infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems environments.
• Strong technical understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestration, cloud-native architectures, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure programs involving compute, networking, storage, observability, security, or AI/ML platforms.
• Experience driving reliability, availability, scalability, and operational excellence initiatives for mission-critical services.
• Familiarity with capacity planning, infrastructure lifecycle management, and cloud business operations.
• Experience partnering with Principal Engineers and senior technical leaders to drive architecture and platform transformation initiatives.
• Experience defining and implementing executive operating mechanisms and organizational governance models.
• MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience operating within hyper-growth technology organizations.
• Experience building and mentoring high-performing TPM teams.

As a Senior Staff TPM in CIC, you will directly influence the future of Coupang's cloud platform. You will help define how infrastructure, platform services, AI capabilities, and operational excellence scale to support the company's next phase of growth.
