Our Toronto office is looking for a Project Engineer who has 4+ years hydraulic modeling experience to join their team.

You will be responsible for the execution and delivery of hydraulic modeling assignments for land development projects. Working closely with project managers and design teams, you will lead technical analyses, develop modeling strategies, interpret results, and provide recommendations that support planning, servicing, and detailed design decisions. To be successful in this role, you have a strong technical background in modeling, enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, and are motivated to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

This role will be responsible for the preparation and review of hydraulic models, servicing assessments, capacity studies and infrastructure planning studies. Projects include residential greenfield and infill developments, low- to high-rise communities, commercial and industrial developments, as well as municipal infrastructure projects.

This position requires collaboration with teams from various Crozier office locations.

  • Prepare hydraulic models in InfoWorks and SewerGEMS to analyze sanitary and storm capacity in existing and proposed sewer systems, as well as completing associated write ups.
  • Complete hydraulic water modeling in InfoWater, WaterCAD and WaterGEMS to analyze existing and proposed water systems, as well as completing associated write ups.
  • Build on overall knowledge of municipal engineering standards and reviewing agencies requirements (i.e. CVC, TRCA, MECP), and liaison with same.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize technical reports and design briefs to summarize analyses, including document production and circulation.
  • Prepare civil designs, modelling and studies for a wide variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
  • Participate in various project teams to identify issues, modify designs to satisfy approval requirements, assisting our clients in advancing projects toward completion.
  • Prepare project proposals for hydraulic modeling scopes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a relatable degree.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience, preferably in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Experience in preparation and analysis of hydraulic computer modelling.
  • Working experience with hydraulic (InfoWorks, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS) modelling software is essential.
  • Experience using AutoCAD or Civil3D would be considered an asset.
  • In-depth working knowledge of land development principles and municipal requirements within the Province of Ontario.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills and ability to prioritize/manage multiple project timelines.

Salary range: $90,000 - $130,000
