Assistant Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Electrical and Computer Engineering with an appointment to begin Fall 2027. Applicants in all areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering will be considered. The department is especially seeking applicants to teach courses and supervise design projects in areas such as electronics and semiconductor design, communications and RF systems, power and energy systems, robotics and control systems, artificial intelligence-enabled systems, and emerging fields in electrical and computer engineering.

We are seeking to recruit and retain faculty who can teach and mentor our students to achieve their academic and career goals while advancing the University's strategic plan objectives. CSUF is the third-largest university in California (in student headcount) and the largest in the California State University (CSU) 22-campus system. CSUF offers more than 100 degree programs and Division I athletics.

• →An earned Ph.D. with undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
• →ABDs are welcome to apply but must show evidence that the degree will be completed by the time of appointment.
• →Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including laboratory courses.
• →Ability and willingness to promote undergraduate and graduate student success through advising, co-curricular activities and other high impact practices.
• →Evidence of scholarly accomplishments and potential for continued research productivity.
• →A focused research agenda with potential for external funding.
• →Ability to balance excellent teaching, research, and service.
• →Experience in working collaboratively with colleagues and the community.
• →Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• →Ability and willingness to interact effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students and colleagues.
