Responsibilities

  • →Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Child, Adolescent and Family Studies, Special Education, Educational Counselling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • →
    • →ABD candidates will be considered if the degree is conferred by the first day of employment.
  • →Demonstrated ability to teach effectively, or potential for effective teaching, of undergraduate courses in Human Development and Family Studies.
  • →Record of, or demonstrated potential for, successful research and publication, including articulation of an active applied and/or basic research agenda and scholarship.
  • →Strong background in human development and/or early childhood development, theory, and research.
  • →Knowledge of the Teacher Education Performance criteria and experience supervising placements and practicums related to PK-3 teaching credential and/or counseling settings.
  • →Experience creating and using Open Educational Resources (OER), Zero Cost Course Materials (ZCCM), and Open Educational Pedagogies (OEP).
  • →Demonstrated commitment to social justice and equity within human development and early childhood education.
  • →Demonstrated commitment to working with and teaching undergraduate students from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds, including first-generation students. 
  • Assistant Professor; salary based on qualifications and experience. 
  • Anticipated annual salary range $74,652 – $86,000
