Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Student Housing Operations, this position works independently to perform complex and technical work to manage Conference Operations and Off-Campus Housing Resources for revenue generating event spaces. They are responsible for marketing and sales of conference program, including all hospitality services, such as housing, food service, meeting space, and related duties. They will assist in supporting off-campus housing resources. The incumbent works with various vendors, guests, and campus community members, and provides hospitality services in support of the clients, and returning the venue to its original configuration. Position provides customer service and leads student conference staff. Additionally, the position services as a primary back-up for the Summer Conference and Assignments Coordinators.
Furthermore, the incumbent provides services that are equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life. This position uses a student-centered and equity-minded approach in all communications and service efforts.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Conference Services Coordination - Administer the year-round Conference Services Program (summer conferences, the Pointe, and other revenue generating space rentals). Plan, develop, and execute conferences, events, seminars, workshops, etc., including group facilitation and public speaking. Primary liaison with campus partners and external constituents related to use of revenue-generating spaces. Advises clients on best practices to have the best event possible.
- →Off-Campus Housing Coordination - Advise students and family members on apartment searches and roommate connections. Responsible for multiple workshops for students about off-campus housing options, renter rights. Create and update a "Good Neighbors Guide" for students who live off campus. Providing resources, services and programs designed to assist and guide students in navigating the process of moving from residential living on campus or from their previous living environments to independent living in the surrounding community.

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

The ideal candidate will have experience using Microsoft Office Suite and working with databases, preferably including reservation systems and platforms such as StarRez and DocuSign. They will possess strong customer service skills and experience planning, developing, and executing conferences, events, seminars, and workshops in a diverse and multicultural university environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within and outside the University. They must be proficient in Office 365 and Adobe Suite, capable of independently managing multiple priorities and projects, and skilled in ensuring compliance with office and University policies and procedures while maintaining positive working relationships. The ideal candidate will remain professional and adaptable in high-pressure situations, respond appropriately to emergencies and crises, manage competing deadlines and frequent interruptions, and demonstrate the flexibility to work weekends and adjusted schedules as required by operational needs.

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience required.
• Four years of related experience in hospitality services or event planning preferred.
• Valid CA Driver's License required.
Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on university business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.
