\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAt the State of Connecticut, Department of Social Services (DSS) we are recruiting current Agency employees to fill one�Quality Control Supervisor role. This role will be located in our Central Office - Quality Control within the Division of Quality Assurance.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nPosition Highlights:\r\n\r\n\r\n This role will be located in our Central Office at 55 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT.�\r\n This full-time, 40 hour per week position is first shift, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm�\r\n\r\nThe Role:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIn this role you will accountable for�supervising a quality control program designed to monitor the delivery of public assistance. PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK)

In the Department of Social Services this class is accountable for supervising a quality control program designed to monitor the delivery of public assistance.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

\r\n\r\n Schedules, assigns, oversees and reviews the work of staff;�\r\n Provides staff training and assistance; conducts performance evaluations;�\r\n Determines priorities and plans unit work; establishes and maintains unit procedures;�\r\n Develops or makes recommendations on development of policies and standards;�\r\n Acts as liaison with other operating units, agencies and outside officials regarding unit policies and procedures;�\r\n Prepares reports and correspondence;�\r\n Synthesizes, analyzes and documents quality control data for inclusion in state and federal reports;�\r\n Performs related duties as required.\r\n\r\n\r\n

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

\r\n Considerable knowledge of\r\n \r\n relevant agency policies and procedures;�\r\n relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations;�\r\n principles and practices of time and case management;\r\n \r\n \r\n Considerable\r\n \r\n interpersonal skills;�\r\n oral and written communication skills;�\r\n \r\n \r\n Considerable ability to synthesize and analyze data;�\r\n Supervisory ability.\r\n\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Nine (9) years of technical experience in the determination and adjudication of eligibility for public assistance programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been in technical work in a quality control program at the level of Quality Control Reviewer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED

\r\n College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.\r\n A Master's degree in a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.\r\n\r\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

\r\n\r\n Experience interpreting, advising on, and interacting with public assistance programs\r\n Experience conducting investigations\r\n Experience applying policies and procedures\r\n Experience communicating with internal and external shareholders of varying skill levels, both verbally and in written communications\r\n Experience utilizing computer systems\r\n Experience interpreting, advising on, and interacting with eligibility systems and interfaces\r\n\r\n\r\n

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Incumbents in this class may be required to travel.
