Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust are seeking a Food and Beverage Operations Manager to work at the iconic Caves House located in the picturesque Blue Mountains.
Reporting directly to the Hotel & Hospitality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Food & Beverage operations.
We are looking for a natural leader passionate in Food & Beverage who will inspire, innovate and empower those around them whilst being responsible for driving the financial success of the department with proven ability to lead a high performing team.
This role is instrumental to the Leadership Team of the Hotel as we continue to grow our business and provide a unique offering to our customers and team. With an eye for detail and a flair for creativity you will lead the team in providing a high level guest experience.
- Temporary full time role up to 12 months
- Located at Jenolan Caves, 3 hours from Sydney and 25 minutes from Oberon
- Package includes base salary of $71,343 (In addition to the base salary above your remuneration will also include an employer’s contribution of superannuation at a rate equal to 11.5%, penalties for weekends and public holidays worked. Shift allowances also apply for shifts starting after 10:00am.)

About the Role

The Food & Beverage Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all Food and Beverage operations including restaurant, bar, café, stocktakes, rostering, events, manage food inventory, and establish relationships with suppliers to enhance costs and quality within the Jenolan Visitor Use and Services Zone. Ensuring efficient and friendly service and the delivery of consistent and high-quality food and beverage products to all our guests.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in managing the Food & Beverage operations. Including: restaurant, Café, Conferences & Events.
- Demonstrated ability to guide team members to deliver a customer focused, high-quality food and beverage service that impresses guests and customers and increases profitability while keeping the brand and mission at the forefront of the operations.
- Experience in managing time effectively and delegating appropriate tasks to the team to ensure food and beverage activities are delivered promptly.
- Demonstrated ability to identify team training needs and develop team members to deliver food and beverage services to a high standard.
Requirements
~1 min read- Hold a current NSW RSA certification
- Hold a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or be willing to obtain prior to starting
- Previous hospitality supervisor experience within a similar operation
- Availability for rostered weekends, public holidays and school holidays
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop a successful team.
- A friendly, self-motivated personality with excellent people skills
- Strong product and beverage inventory management skills
Due to the unique operating environment of Jenolan Caves and given the dynamic nature of operations and the remote location, the position is well suited to candidates seeking a FIFO-style hospitality leadership opportunity, with onsite accommodation arrangements available if required.
