About the Role
~1 min readAs a Senior Program Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of strategic projects and programs across the organisation. Working closely with project teams, business stakeholders and senior leaders, you will help strengthen project governance, enhance delivery capability, and provide the frameworks, tools and insights that enable projects to achieve their intended outcomes.
We are recruiting for two Senior Program Officer positions, each supporting a key aspect of the PMO function:
- Project Reporting & Governance – focused on portfolio and project reporting, governance processes, RAID management, performance monitoring and delivery insights.
- Budget Reporting & Project Financial Management – focused on project budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, variance reporting and scenario planning.
This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience supporting complex projects, programs or PMO functions. You will enjoy bringing structure to complexity, analysing information, identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio.
Reporting to the Manager, PMO & Governance, you will work across multiple initiatives, build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and delivery excellence, helping to achieve meaningful organisational outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a PMO, project governance, project management, project controls or portfolio delivery environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks and delivery best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple activities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience driving continuous improvement through the development and implementation of effective processes, tools and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, opportunities and practical solutions.
- Experience supporting project reporting, financial reporting, governance forums, compliance activities and decision-making processes.
- Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise and actionable insights.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts or procurement activities will be highly regarded.
- A proactive, collaborative and outcomes-focused approach, with a passion for enabling successful project delivery and organisational improvement.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related discipline, with preferred professional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) that demonstrates advanced competency in project delivery frameworks and methodologies.
