- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 - $142,665+ super & leave loading
The Records & Information Management team supports the department's records management and information governance functions. Working closely with business areas, the team provides advice, systems support, training and governance to support effective lifecycle management and digital recordkeeping practices.
About the Role
~1 min readReporting to the Senior Manager, Records & Information Management, the Senior Records Officer supports the delivery of records management services across the department. You will provide advice and support on physical and digital records management, respond to stakeholder enquiries, support the administration of Electronic Document and Records Management (EDRM) systems, and contribute to compliance, training and continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, help promote best-practice records management and support the effective management of records throughout their lifecycle.
You are an experienced records management professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to delivering practical and customer-focused information management services.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in records and information management within a complex organisation.
- Knowledge of records management principles, information governance and lifecycle management.
- Experience providing advice and support on physical and digital records management practices.
- Experience supporting or administering an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience delivering training, guidance or awareness activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of the State Records Act and disposal authorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical advice.
Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in information and records management or other relevant field and/or equivalent knowledge and experience in the records management industry.
