About the Role
~1 min readAs the Visitor Experience and Marketing Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 25 staff responsible for the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of visitor experiences and marketing initiatives at Jenolan Caves.
The role oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of visitor services and marketing programs, including:
- Visitor experience development and delivery, including cave tours, above-ground experiences, and packaged visitor experiences.
- Marketing, communications, brand management, and promotional activities.
- Education and volunteer programs.
- Visitor feedback, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Commercial visitor operations and service delivery.
- Strategic planning and delivery of future marketing initiatives and visitor experiences.
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional visitor experiences while supporting sustainable tourism outcomes and safeguarding the site's unique natural and cultural heritage values. The role also contributes to the long-term growth and success of Jenolan Caves through innovative experience development, effective marketing strategies, and strong operational leadership.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Sound knowledge of contemporary marketing and communications practices, including digital marketing, social media, web-based platforms, and emerging marketing technologies, with the ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving landscape.
Proven experience delivering high-quality visitor experiences within a complex, high-volume tourism, hospitality, or visitor services environment.
Experience managing commercially viable operations while balancing customer experience, operational performance, and the protection of natural and cultural assets.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and support multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities, manage multiple projects, and deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes, budgets, and performance targets.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills.
Requirements
~1 min read- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in marketing, tourism, visitor experience, hospitality, communications, or a related field.
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
