Fulfillment Associate - Warehouse

Cuyana is now hiring a Full-Time Fulfillment Associate for our Fulfillment Center located at 2229 Poplar St. West Oakland. 

While Fulfillment Associates are cross-trained to work in and support all areas of the warehouse, this opening will primarily focus on outbound operations - sorting, loading, and shipping out completed orders - with flexibility to support inbound and other functions as daily volume requires. 

This is a very active position with boxes being moved, product being picked, and packed.

Must be available Monday- Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm *Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours during peak season Oct- Jan*

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure correct products and quantities are scanned and picked for daily orders
• Package orders according to company guidelines, giftwrap as necessary
• Assist with container off loading, palletize product safely and correctly
• Lift and move ship-out boxes safely with clear assigned areas for multiple carriers
• Quickly learn product assortment: categories, styles, colors and sizes
• Load shipping packages according to carriers, load palletized products to trailer
• Assist with shelf product opening and keeping product available for orders
• Ensure shelving is always clean and tidy, recycling, and housekeeping
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area in shipping
• Communicate warehouse activities with supervisors/manager
• General housekeeping at end of day, sweeping, cleaning, dropping off bags at designated area
• Other duties to be assigned as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to communicate and work in a team environment
• Can-do attitude, able to manage workload in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities 
• Able to operate a pallet jack 
• Can bend, reach, lift, and move stock and product; Able to carry up to 50lbs
• Able to stand for long periods at a time
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment:  wearing closed-toed shoes, climbing rolling step ladders in a safe manner (working on active floor, in varying temperatures, moderate noise)
• Prior warehouse, fulfillment, or e-commerce experience a plus, but not required - we train on our processes and systems
