The Brand and Communication Officer’s role is to shape the Trust’s public image and voice by promoting its vision, mission, programs and impact. The role holder will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans that effectively engage with target audiences, raise awareness and secure support for the company’s goals Responsibilities Prepare and manage execution of the company’s annual communication plan. Oversee the design promotional materials such as publications, promotional materials, social media posts, brochures, banners, PowerPoint presentations and other communication related materials, that will aid in increasing the company’s brand and visibility. Liaise with the Finance and Administration Department to coordinate and monitor the printing of publications, promotional materials and banners to ensure adherence with the company's Brand guidelines. Coordinate dissemination of publications, promotional materials and banners to the Zonal offices in liaison with the Finance and Administration Department and Business Development Department. Develop media plans to coordinate outreach to the public and media ensuring that the messaging is consistent with the company's brand and core values. Work closely with different media houses to design and disseminate the audiovisual content, community activities, spot messages and key events. Coordinate and assist various teams in the organization of key events and communication opportunities, such as major conferences, press conferences, workshops, field visits, discussions and report launches to ensure brand integrity is maintained and enhanced. Work closely with the managers to develop field event stories, imagery and project participants' success stories related to each project for both local and global audiences, showcasing the company’s work in Tanzania and its impact. Develop and oversee the implementation of a clear and strong Inclusive Green Growth (IGG) communication and branding strategy and disseminate the Green Growth credentials. Prepare monthly media monitoring reports Support and manage content development on social media channels, including Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), LinkedIn and other appropriate channels. Review and update information on the website as needed. Deliver high-quality photos that can be re-produced in print, multi-media and online formats as well as establish and maintain the Trust’s photo and video archive Requirements Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, Marketing, Information and Communication Technology or related field from a recognized institution. Five (5) years proven working experience in communications and branding. Hands-on experience in graphic design and photography. Experience with WordPress Website management Excellent communication skills, fluency in English and Kiswahili as well as the ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment with national and international colleagues and partners. Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure, dealing with competing priorities. Excellent knowledge and proficiency using creative graphic design and video production software, including but not limited to Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro. A working knowledge of web technologies, such as WordPress, HTML and CSS. A working knowledge of social media technologies and email marketing e.g. Buffer and Mailchimp Tools will be an added advantage. Basic proficiency in using DSLR cameras. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. High ethical standards, integrity and a commitment to upholding professional standards of conduct. Proactive, flexible and adaptable, with the capacity to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
