garage doors and related building products to customers throughout the North with emphasis on

Job Summary
As a Glazier Apprentice, you will learn the skills and techniques of the glazing trade under the
guidance of experienced glaziers. This role provides hands-on experience in measuring, cutting,
fitting, and installing glass and aluminum products while assisting on a variety of commercial and
residential projects. You will develop your skills in a safe, supportive, and practical work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Learn on-site trade skills under the guidance of senior glaziers.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install glazing materials in windows, doors, and other products.
- Assist with fabrication and installation of architectural aluminum and glass products.
- Load, unload, and move glass and aluminum materials safely.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Follow instructions, drawings, and safety procedures.
- Participate in repair or replacement of damaged glass.
Installation Projects May Include:
- Storefronts, doors, vents, and hardware
- Curtain wall systems
- Skylights
- Flashings and break shapes
- Sealed units, mirrors, showers
- Specialty glass and aluminum products
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
- Registered as a Glazier Apprentice or interest in registering as one.
- Successful completion of Grade 10 Math and English is a prerequisite to enroll in the course.
- Prior experience in construction is an asset.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in the glazing trade.
- Ability to safely handle glass, aluminum, and other materials.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and
working at heights. - Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
