We are looking for a DevOps Engineer specialized in Red Hat OpenShift with strong
Linux and infrastructure expertise. The candidate will be responsible for designing,
deploying, and supporting highly available OpenShift environments for enterprise-grade
workloads, including SAS applications.
The role requires deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, storage integrations,
cluster operations, and the ability to guide customers through infrastructure
preparation and production deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deploy highly available OpenShift clusters
Manage cluster lifecycle (installation, upgrades, troubleshooting)
Implement storage solutions using CSI drivers and external storage systems
Build and manage mirror registries
Develop robust Dockerfiles for enterprise workloads
Create modular Helm charts and Kustomize overlays
Ensure infrastructure redundancy at network, storage, and compute layers
Guide customers in preparing infrastructure to meet SAS application
prerequisites
Install and validate new enterprise platforms (Cloudera, ETL suites, analytics
platforms)
Act as liaison between customers, support teams, and internal developers
Perform root cause analysis for production incidents
Required Skills & Experience
Linux & Infrastructure
Advanced Linux CLI expertise
Filesystem and LVM administration
NFS, iSCSI, block storage management
Network bonding and HA configurations
Experience designing redundancy at every layer
OpenShift (Mandatory & Core Skill)
Strong hands-on experience with:
o Red Hat OpenShift
Deep understanding of:
o Operators
o SCCs
o Routes & Ingress
o MachineSets & cluster scaling
o Internal and mirrored registries
o CSI storage integrations
Experience with disconnected or air-gapped installations
Kubernetes & Containerization
Strong Kubernetes architecture knowledge
Helm chart modularization
Kustomize overlays
Secure Docker image building
Registry mirroring and image management
Cloud & Platform Experience
Experience with at least two of:
o Amazon EKS
o Google Kubernetes Engine
o Azure Kubernetes Service
o Red Hat OpenShift
Scripting & Automation
Strong Bash and awk scripting
Automation-first mindset
CI/CD pipeline experience
Nice to Have
Experience with SAS platform deployments (strong advantage)
Experience with Cloudera or enterprise data platforms
Experience handling large-scale analytics workloads
Infrastructure sizing and performance optimization for data-intensive
applications
Soft Skills
Strong leadership in technical discussions
Ability to guide customers in infrastructure readiness
Clear documentation and architectural explanation skills
Ownership mentality for production platforms
Quick learner with ability to evaluate and deploy new enterprise software stacks
