Summary Statement

This is\r\nthe expert level of HRIS work providing system analysis, consultation, and/or\r\ntraining at the State level for HRIS applications supporting multiple functions\r\nsuch as Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Time and Attendance or Pension\r\nAdministration and associated HRIS training and business processes. In addition to work performed by the HRIS Analyst III\r\nlevel, employees are functional subject matter experts in HRIS applications,\r\nperforming the most complex work in the assigned area and are cross-functional\r\nin more than one module or business process that supports the application.\r\n

Preferred Qualification

Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n 6 months experience in presenting training or education courses in e-learning and blended learning courses through the use of a variety of e-learning development tools such as eLearning publishing software, graphic editing software, video editing software, computer animation software, or audio editing software.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Essential Functions

Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.� Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Provides\r\n system analysis and consultation for HRIS applications, helpdesk\r\n operations, system training, and/or data reporting to end users which may\r\n include all state agencies, school districts, charter schools, higher\r\n education institutions, vendors, outside organizations, counties, and\r\n municipalities.\r\n Researches\r\n and resolves customer inquiries, requests, system problems, or training\r\n and education needs; performs scheduled activities, and recommends\r\n solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.\r\n Monitors\r\n reports and processes data change requests to update or correct data in\r\n the system and resolves issues and user access/security; documents and\r\n tracks customer or training inquiries and resolutions using an internal\r\n automated system.\r\n Ensures\r\n compliance with state and federal laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies,\r\n and procedures pertaining to statewide HRIS.\r\n Participates\r\n in HRIS business requirements analysis, system testing, change management or\r\n training of system implementations, upgrades, updates, and enhancements.\r\n Conducts\r\n special assignments and projects.\r\n Develops,\r\n runs, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing\r\n appropriate reporting tools for ongoing customer needs.\r\n Runs\r\n processes to make corrections or updates to ensure employee data, pay, and\r\n benefits reflect accurately.\r\n Maintains,\r\n reviews, verifies, and updates system tables and configuration to ensure\r\n compliance with all state business practices, federal and state\r\n regulations, and laws.\r\n Reviews\r\n existing business processes, policies, and procedures, identifying\r\n opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.\r\n Participates\r\n in meetings, conference calls, and presentations.\r\n Updates\r\n HRIS procedures, job aids, and/or training material for staff and end\r\n users.\r\n May\r\n evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, courses, curricula, and training\r\n resources and modify them to meet needs and plan, develop, coordinate, and\r\n deliver system training and education courses and curricula, services, and\r\n activities such as instructor-led classroom, on-the-job or virtual training, or workshops.\r\n Communicates and\r\n interacts effectively with people across cultures, ranges of ability,\r\n genders, ethnicities, ages, and races.\r\n Performs other related duties as required.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for�HRIS Analyst IV�\r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Three years' experience in researching, analyzing and interpreting data to resolve automated information system inquiries, requests, or problems, or to meet automated information system training needs.\r\n Three years' experience in using, or training others on using, an automated human resource, pension, payroll or benefits information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.\r\n Six months experience in analyzing and evaluating HRIS applications to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, rules regulations, policies and procedures.\r\n Six months experience in project support such as planning, coordinating, evaluating and reporting status updates of special projects.\r\n\r\n\r\n
