Summary Statement
As a Social Service Senior Administrator, you will be an active participant with the DSAAPD Management Team focused on coordinating all units of the Division to have cohesive and integrated support. You will be responsible for managing issues of internal applications and systems to contact, document, and take action on activities assigned as well as follow up with users and systems to ensure proper functioning. You will also be supporting case processing, training, equipment, WellSky, Point Click Care, and other programs, issues, and needs, while advocating in a cost-effective manner.\r\nAs part of the Continuous Quality Improvement unit, your role will partner with leaders across the division to coordinate the establishment and implementation of clear, concise, and timely procedures and practices to ensure the prompt, effective delivery of services within a customer-friendly work environment consistently throughout the state. You will provide feedback to management on performance and issues related to Division and Department Systems as well as support teams and/or individual efforts to assist in the successful transition and implementation of all new activities, procedures and pilots within the Division.\r\n
Essential Functions

Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n Plans for new and existing programs, directs and coordinates activities/phases of programs and implements necessary changes.\r\n Develops new policies and procedures, updates or changes existing policies/procedures, translates changes to staff, trains staff, and creates review and data collection forms.\r\n Supervises and monitors programs/services, staff productivity.\r\n Modify and/or implement operational methods and assume leadership in corrective action and/or error reduction planning.\r\n Submits statistical reports, information and summaries on program and staff development and data systems information.\r\n Reviews statistical and narrative reports, records and case histories prepared by staff to evaluate effectiveness of services provided. \r\n Revises operating procedures which include workload assignment and staffing.\r\n Recommends revision of policy and procedures to improve services.\r\n Reviews and evaluates the work of staff, makes recommendations on hiring and disciplinary actions.\r\n Instructs, advises and directs the implementation of policies and procedures. Evaluate and monitor their effectiveness and efficiency through review of administrative reports, program reviews and client contact.\r\n Coordinates with other administrators, State and community agencies to meet and improve agency objectives.\r\n Interacts with union representatives, handles grievances and assists supervisors on disciplinary actions, formal contracts, terminations and promotions.\r\n Prepares and/or oversees the preparation of various reports such as statistical, attendance, analysis of operations, program assessments, supervisory reviews and special reports upon requests.\r\n\r\n
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Social Services Senior Administrator \r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:�\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Three years experience in health or human services work�such as applying theories, principles, laws and practices of health or human services programs and services that assist with and improve life for individuals, families, or communities such as financial support, employment, unemployment, housing, health care, disease prevention, substance abuse, child protective services, physical/mental health treatment and prevention or�rehabilitation. \r\n \r\n \r\n Six months experience in health or human services program administration such as overseeing and directing the development, implementation and evaluation of health or human services programs and services; planning and establishing short and long range program goals and objectives. Providing advice to other agency organizational units through consultation. \r\n \r\n \r\n Six months experience�in developing policies and procedures.\r\n \r\n \r\n Six months experience in staff supervision which includes planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others.�\r\n \r\n Knowledge of budget management and control which includes managing a budget for the purpose of keeping expenditures within the limitations of available appropriations and available revenue and maintaining, monitoring, projecting and controlling a budget within set policies and procedures.\r\n\r\n
