Summary Statement
The incumbent oversees inventory control, purchasing, distribution, materials management, and related operational activities. Responsibilities include supporting supply, storage, and distribution systems administration; conducting product research and evaluation activities; coordinating procurement and budgeting processes; and assisting with logistical planning and quality control of products and services. The role also supports negotiation activities, budget oversight, and the development and implementation of operational procedures to ensure efficient program administration.\r\n
Essential Functions

Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\r\n\r\n Collects, receives, marks, sorts, stacks, distributes, and inventories supplies, materials, equipment, parts, or other articles. \r\n Locates and selects material, supplies, tools, equipment, parts, or other articles from stockroom, warehouse, storage yard, or other related areas. \r\n Adjusts, repairs, assembles, or prepares products, supplies, equipment, or other items according to specifications or customer requirements. \r\n Operates a variety of equipment for the purpose of preparing, inspecting, weighing, evaluating, recording, marking, or transporting supplies, materials, equipment, or other articles.\r\n Records type, quantity, value, or location of material, supplies, equipment or other articles received, shipped, used, or issued.� \r\n Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, instruments, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations; ensures security of inventory.� \r\n\r\n
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Supply, Storage and Distribution Coordinator \r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n Two years experience in inventory control such as ordering, receiving, tracking, storing and handling inventory; disbursing materials, supplies and equipment.� \r\n One year experience in planning, directing and coordinating the supply, storage and distribution operations within a facility or warehouse. \r\n One year experience in creating reports which includes combining and presenting data from multiple sources in an organized format.� \r\n One year experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases.� \r\n Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees. \r\n\r\n
Conditions of Hire

Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.\r\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
