As a Lead Media Consultant at DEPT®, you play a key role in shaping and delivering best-in-class media strategy for our clients. Sitting at the intersection of media strategy and client services, you are responsible for translating complex client challenges into clear, effective media approaches.
You will partner closely with senior clients and internal specialists to design integrated, insight-led media strategies, while confidently leading conversations that influence direction and build long-term relationships.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong strategic thinking with commercial awareness and is comfortable operating as a trusted advisor to clients.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop clear, insight-driven media strategies across channels (paid social, search, programmatic, etc.) aligned to client business objectives
- →Lead strategic conversations with senior client stakeholders, confidently presenting recommendations and challenging thinking where appropriate
- →Translate client briefs and business problems into actionable media plans and frameworks
- →Collaborate with channel specialists and wider teams to ensure high-quality execution of strategic plans
- →Identify opportunities to improve performance, test new approaches, and drive innovation within accounts
- →Support in pitches and proposals, contributing to strategic thinking and storytelling
- →Build strong client relationships, acting as a day-to-day senior contact and trusted advisor
- →Ensure work is commercially sound, effective, and delivers measurable impact
- ~8+ years’ experience in digital media, strategy, or consulting roles (agency or similar environment preferred)
- Strong cross-channel media knowledge (e.g. Paid Social, Search, Programmatic, Video)
- Proven ability to develop media strategies from high-level business challenges
- Confident in leading client conversations and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Experience balancing strategic thinking with practical delivery
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how media drives business outcomes
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Curious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
