The Košice branch of Diebold Nixdorf was officially opened in November 2017. We are a strategic delivery center where experts work in the areas of corporate infrastructure, application management, information security, as well as in teams dealing with IT processes. Since its beginning in Košice, the company has established itself on the local market of IT companies, we participate in job fairs, we have established cooperation with many schools and organize a lot of activities for our employees.

As Application Administrator you will ensure the deployment, high availability and performance of company products, applications and infrastructure. The role spans development, operations and quality assurance to drive the building, testing, and releasing of product applications, elements and software. Responsible for developing, delivering, updating and perfecting product, application and web functionality in a manner that supports evolving customer and business needs. Collaborates cross-functionally to promote and ensure sustainable development through technical excellence and elegant user-friendly design.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS APPLICATION ADMINISTRATOR? 

• You will provide support for an assigned set of applications or system elements.

• Troubleshoots and debugs web and application servers for system and application issues after deployment

• You will be technically engaged and active in initiatives and projects as part of CSI

• You will be responsible for operating 3-layer applications (ActiveMQ, Tomcat, JBoss/Wildfly) 

• You will create innovative and automatized standardized solutions with top quality 

• You will create IT solutions for customers on global market and bring ideas to improve satisfaction of consumers 

• You will collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional technical team members to resolve platform issues

• You will participate in on-call duty 

WHAT EXPERIENCE / SKILLS DO YOU NEED?

• You have 3-5 years of relevant experience in Java based applications.

• You have hands-on experience in middleware applications and Java based operating systems

• You are able to work in scripting environment Bash, PowerShell or Python

• You can work with SQL queries

• You have great understanding of network diagram and topology (LAN, WAN, protocols, ports) 

• You are familiar with Active MQ, Tomcat, JBoss/Wildfly, RHEL/Oracle Linux OS, LDAP

• You are experienced with Agile software development using JIRA and Confluence

WILL YOU FIT IN? 

• You communicate fluently in English and Slovak language 

• You are interested to develop your skills in Ansible and Kubernetes

NICE TO HAVE (BUT NOT NECESSARY)

• Experience with AppDynamics or CheckMK (Nagios) application tools is an advantage

• Application management experience is an advantage 

• Experience in IT and cloud architecture is benefit

In our team, every day is different. You'll join a group of 16 colleagues, led by Rober Szabo. The team provides technical support, administration and maintenance of internal applications running on Linux systems.

Starting salary from 1,900 EUR gross/month- the final offer depends on proven experience.
