Position: Business Consultant
• Responsible for identifying and cultivating new business through networking, channel partners, and self-generated opportunities.
• Executes aggressive prospecting to reach key decision makers and owns the full sales cycle, including post-sale implementation.
• Negotiates pricing and scope, completes sales paperwork, and finalizes client service agreements.
• Maintains an accurate sales pipeline and forecast and meets monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by sales leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Proactively generate new business within the designated territory.
• Continuously expand knowledge of industry trends, new products, services, and broker practices.
• Conduct analysis, planning, and implementation of products and services tailored to client needs.
• Monitor competitors and analyze potential competitive threats.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of services for assigned clients.
• Schedule and conduct regular implementation meetings to address client questions and concerns.
• Collect and analyze data to provide strategic guidance on products, services, marketing, sales, and other business areas.
• Prepare concise executive summaries for client presentations.
• Develop lead generation strategies and use CRM (Salesforce) to track activities.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
• Complete and submit accurate new business paperwork, expense reports, and weekly activity reports by management deadlines.
• Participate in monthly consulting meetings and provide training and coaching to team members.
• Frequent domestic travel required for team meetings, client visits, customer events, industry conferences, and training; may include air travel, ground transportation (cars, taxis, rideshare), and occasional public transportation.
• Build and maintain relationships across the company to ensure coordinated communication and services affecting clients.
• Attend webinars and training to stay current on best practices.
• Complete projects and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets.
• Exceptional negotiation and closing skills; ability to influence key stakeholders.
• Understanding and consistent execution of sales methodologies, strategies, and best practices.
• Experience with CRM systems and tools (Salesforce preferred).
• In-depth understanding of company products and services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and presentations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic environment.
• Analytical ability to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Professional demeanor, adherence to corporate policies, and strong business ethics.
• Commitment to confidentiality and privacy.
• Flexibility to adjust strategies based on market changes and business needs.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and commitment to understanding customer needs.
Education & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent; combinations of experience, skills, education (including non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training) are acceptable.
• At least two years' sales experience preferred.
• Previous experience and proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other applications.
• Valid, non-restrictive driver's license required due to regular travel to client sites and company locations.
