Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Collecchio, near the vibrant city of Parma, dsm-firmenich is proud to announce the opening of a cutting-edge production plant in early 2027.
The new state-of-the-art facility will feature the latest technologies such as ASTAROME™, to enable the use of liquid flavors in dry blends, and the production of more cost-effective reaction flavors. With automated packaging lines and modern warehouse, sampling, QC lab, and expansion capacity to ship, the site will be a state-of-the-art place to help fulfill the ambition of Taste, Texture & Health of dsm-firmenich. It will be a place where talent and technology come together to fulfill our ambition: shaping the future together and driving the progress of food innovation.
To support this ambitious project, we are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead end to end planning processes and drive service, inventory, and cost performance. From day one, you will build and mature our production and materials planning capabilities, working in close partnership with Operations, Procurement, and Customer Experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead production and materials planning to consistently achieve service, inventory, and cost targets
• Ensure timely material availability, proactively partnering with Procurement to address supplier delays, risks, and recurring issues
• Establish robust planning routines and drive strong adherence across all relevant stakeholders
• Develop, maintain, and continuously optimize site production plans, balancing demand, capacity, and operational constraints
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, data quality, and the adoption of digital and advanced planning tools
• Build, lead, coach, and develop the planning team in line with dsm firmenich fundamentals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and a high performance culture

YOU BRING
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain experience, including strong expertise in operations planning
• At least 2 years of proven experience in a people leadership or team management role
• APICS CPIM or equivalent certification strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of SAP ECC or equivalent ERP systems; experience with advanced planning tools is a plus
• Fluent in both English and Italian (written and spoken)
• Advanced analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer centric mindset
