Weber Shandwick is more than a leading global PR agency – we’re an engagement agency and we’re working in and around the cutting edge of the new media landscape. We’re storytellers, content creators, and we engage people IN the story. Our success is built on a deep commitment to client service and to our people. We embrace creativity and collaboration, and we engage stakeholders in new and creative ways to build brands and reputations.

Weber Shandwick is seeking an Associate to join its Financial Communications team, which is part of the Weber Advisory group. As part of Weber Advisory, our work goes beyond traditional communications. We help clients anticipate risk, shape narratives, engage stakeholders and build the trust that drives enterprise value. We combine strategic communications, cultural intelligence, issues expertise, digital influence and AI-enabled insights to provide C-Suite and board-level leaders with strategic counsel across four key pillars: Strategy & Reputation, Public Affairs & Impact, Crisis & Issues, and Transactions & Transformations.

Within Weber Advisory, the Financial Communications teams advises public and private companies across industries on strategic and capital markets communications efforts that protect reputation, support valuation and optimally position them among relevant stakeholders. Our engagements span both the normal-course financial lifecycle (e.g., quarterly earnings, proxy statements) as well as transformative events (e.g., mergers and acquisitions (M&A)/post-merger integration, initial public offerings (IPO), litigation, bankruptcy, activism, executive management transitions, cybersecurity events, labor issues, etc.). We collaborate closely in these engagements with both the C-suite and key investor relations (IR)/public relations (PR) personnel, as well as an organization’s external counsel and financial advisor(s).

As an Associate, you will have the unique opportunity to help drive communications around high-stakes financial transactions, earnings, and corporate milestones. You will support day-to-day account activity, transaction work (IPOs, M&A, investments, etc.), financial media relations, and Investor Relations (IR) activities. Working directly with senior leadership, you will conduct essential research, develop materials, and actively support new business opportunities to help grow the practice. Any prior experience or background in financial communications or IR is a strong plus, but not required.
