Mandatory Internship -Geographic Information Systems (m/w/d) -Full-time or Part-time

Energy Competence Centre GmbH is looking for a dedicated Geographic Information Systems Intern (m/f/d) for a “Pflichtpraktikum” (mandatory internship as part of their study program), full-time or part-time in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Our objective is to bring renewable energies into countries where these technologies are not yet widespread and contribute with that to the development of an ecological energy generation globally.

• Maintaining and updating GIS project databases.
• Creating maps and supporting spatial analysis for project related needs.
• Supporting project scouting and feasibility studies and development of onshore renewable energy projects, especially wind & PV, as well as offshore wind energy projects in various countries worldwide.
• Specific and precise location search for such projects using GIS tools.
• Carrying out research in the field of mapping technologies, including suitable methods, software and hardware.
• Supporting the Project Development and Business Development team (PD and BD team) in the development of various infrastructure projects.
• Assisting company management, PD and BD team with day-to-day business tasks.

• Student in geomatic, environmental engineering or similar.
• Experience with Geographic Information Systems.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGISPro.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online is highly appreciated.
• First professional experience is a plus.
• Business fluent in English.
• Experience in the field of renewable energies is a plus.
• Other languages, especially Arabic, French and/or German are a plus.
• Team spirit and flexibility, independent working style and reliability.
