As the Manager of Quality Control, you will lead a high-performing team to ensure the safety, productivity, and integrity of analytical results at our Clinton site. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing long-term quality plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving excellence in customer service across lab operations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a clear strategic vision for QC operations to maximize laboratory capability and maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead and develop a team of 5-12 department personnel, overseeing talent management, bench strength, and performance accountability.
- Anticipate and prevent quality or regulatory issues by overseeing testing, inspection, and material release for manufacturing, packaging, and stability.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships to ensure the delivery of customer needs while balancing compliance and operational productivity.
- Drive strategic planning and yearly objective setting to meet evolving business needs and quality standards.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Science-related field preferred).
- Experience: Progressive leadership experience with a demonstrated track record in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Laboratory Operations.
- Must demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing, sourcing, and microbiology, with the ability to manage complexity through strategic planning and tactical implementation.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Previous experience in people management within a regulated environment.
- Experience in Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) or Regulatory Affairs.
- Proven ability to lead change management and implement new processes in a GxP environment.
