About EnergyX and Black Giant
EnergyX (Energy Exploration Technologies) is a US-based energy technology and critical minerals production company on a mission to enhance the global lithium supply chain capacity. EnergyX has developed proprietary Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology - a breakthrough process that recovers significantly more lithium from brine resources than conventional evaporation methods, with a fraction of the environmental footprint.
Black Giant SpA is EnergyX's flagship lithium project, located in the Northern part of Chile (Antofagasta region), home to the world's highest-grade lithium brine resources. It is structured a Chilean subsidiary entity of EnergyX, and has additional minority shareholders in a joint venture structure. Black Giant SpA has seconded employees from both EnergyX and its joint venture partners, but need independent financial governance, hence the need for a full time CFO.
The Black Giant project represents one of the most significant lithium development opportunities in the Southern Hemisphere, positioned to supply battery-grade lithium carbonate to the global electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage system (ESS) markets. The project is a $1 billion capital investment on behalf of EnergyX and its partners, with the ability to expand to $5 billion for further capacity processing and refining. With Chile's lithium sector undergoing structural reform and growing government and institutional interest in responsible development, Black Giant sits at the intersection of critical minerals policy, clean energy transition, and large-scale capital investment.
