- This individual will act as a key liaison between the company’s leadership and the investor community, playing a critical role in shaping how we communicate our vision, progress, and potential.
The Role
- You will operate at the intersection of corporate finance, law, and strategy. This is a high-visibility position that requires the ability to distil complex operational and technical data into structured, institutional-grade communications.
- You will work directly with leadership to drive the end-to-end fundraising lifecycle—from investor outreach to transaction closure.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Investor Management
- Drive execution of fundraising activities, including managing the investor pipeline and engagement lifecycle
- Serve as a primary point of coordination for potential and existing investors throughout the capital-raising process and other governance-related activities
- Manage the due diligence processes, including data rooms and investor queries
Strategic Research & Communication
- Conduct in-depth research on potential investors, industry trends, and emerging market opportunities.
- Support the creation of investor materials, including presentations, reports, and updates
- Translate complex technical and operational milestones into clear, compelling investment narratives
Transaction & Governance
- Review and manage key investment documents, including Shareholders’ Agreements (SHA) and Subscription Agreements, in collaboration with the in-house legal team.
- Support compliance, governance, and documentation requirements across fundraising activities, along with the legal team
Financial Analysis & Tracking
- Utilize Excel for medium-complexity tasks, including cap table management, sensitivity analysis, and tracking key business metrics.
- Monitor internal action items, timelines, and cross-functional dependencies to ensure timely execution.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with senior leadership on investor communications and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate across internal teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of information shared externally.
Qualifications & Background
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Investor Relations, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Startups, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred, not mandatory).
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and operate effectively in high-growth, unstructured environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Articulate Communication: Exceptional command of English with the ability to craft clear, compelling, and structured narratives for investors.
- Operational Rigor: Strong ability to bring structure to ambiguity and convert raw data into actionable insights and reports.
- Research & Analysis: Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into meaningful strategic insights.
- Financial Literacy: Proficiency in Excel (functional modeling, data analysis, and visualization) and understanding of key financial concepts.
- Transaction Awareness: Working knowledge of investment processes, documentation, and corporate compliance.
- Professionalism: High level of discretion and confidence in working with senior stakeholders and sensitive information.
Location Requirement
- This role is strictly on-site in Chennai. Close collaboration with the leadership team is essential given the pace and nature of the role.
