We are looking for a 5G/6G Embedded Software Developer to join our team and work on the Radio Unit, a key element of the Ericsson Radio System. We handle everything from software development and hardware integration to system verification, ensuring our technology supports the latest 5G innovations and enhances existing 4G networks. We develop and support globally deployed products used by various operators powering millions of sites that rely on our expertise and bring wireless connectivity to billions of people.
You’ll collaborate with talented colleagues across Sweden, China, Canada, and more. Our teams are self-organizing, involved in the entire development cycle (including initial requirement analysis, study, design, implementation, verification, delivery, and maintenance), and use agile methods like Scrum or Kanban.
Even if your laptop runs Windows, you’ll be developing in a Linux-based environment, building real-world solutions that scale worldwide.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →You’ll contribute to the design, development, and integration of embedded radio systems across a range of technical domains and platforms.
Technical Expertise
Our teams rely on a broad range of technical skills in their daily work, with expected expertise levels varying by seniority and project needs.
- Embedded systems with real-time capabilities (hardware and software)
- Operating system principles (Linux in particular)
- Signal processing and antenna systems
- Computer and mobile networks
- C/C++ for product development
- Secure coding practices
- Java for automation and verification
- Code repositories and versioning systems (such as Git and Gerrit)
- Software product build systems (such as Yocto and Automake)
- Integration, troubleshooting, and debugging
