As a Lab Assistant/Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the RnD and operations. This position also involves handling fundamental tasks to enhance overall laboratory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general laboratory activities and biomass production in respect of current SOPs.
- Participate in pre-processing and post-processing activities.
- Operate machines and systems, and support the experimental work of the RnD team.
- Ensure compliance with internal and legal requirements, including hygiene, occupational safety, food safety, environmental protection, and HACCP systems.
Administrative Tasks:
- Support and participate in cross-team projects.
- Handle invoices and manage shipping tasks, including packaging, label printing, and preparing ice packs.
- Procure general materials for the lab.
Requirements

Training as a Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Technician, Chemical Technician, or Food Technology Specialist.
Relevant professional and practical experience in the laboratory, preferably in the food industry and/or fermentation.
Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts (from 6 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. as required).
Proficient in both written and spoken English; knowledge of Spanish is desirable.
Confident in handling common PC programs.
High degree of initiative, independence, flexibility, team spirit, and conscientiousness.
Responsible for daily duties within a rapidly growing, evolving, and multicultural team based in the heart of Barcelona.
