We’re looking for an Assets Technician to join our Auckland team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, maintaining equipment and finding practical ways to improve reliability and performance.
You’ll help ensure our plant, equipment and facilities operate safely and effectively by carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns and supporting asset improvements and capital projects. Your contribution will help minimise downtime and keep production running smoothly.
- Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance across plant and equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and resolving maintenance issues to minimise downtime.
- Responding to breakdowns and prioritising work in line with production needs.
- Completing maintenance work orders and keeping system records up to date.
- Supporting asset improvements and capital projects, including fabrication, installation and testing.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and workshop areas in a safe and organised condition.
- Supporting maintenance planning, spare parts management and contractor coordination.
- Identifying opportunities to improve asset reliability, safety and efficiency.
- Following all health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
You may already be working in maintenance, engineering, mechanical services or another hands-on technical environment. Most importantly, you’ll bring practical capability, a safety-first approach and the initiative to identify and resolve problems.
- Experience in a maintenance, mechanical or technical role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- The ability to diagnose faults and carry out equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Practical hands-on experience with tools, machinery and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively across different teams.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance systems or work-order software.
A trade qualification or technical certification would be an advantage, along with experience in fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly, equipment installation or capital projects. Relevant safety certifications, such as working at height, forklift or permit-to-work training, would also be beneficial.
