Quick Summary
Understand how your product area works end-to-end. Build strong relationships with the stakeholders who use it. Learn the workflows, frustrations, and opportunities within your area.
About the Role
EventConnect is evolving how we build software.
We believe the future of product development belongs to people who can identify opportunities, solve problems, leverage AI effectively, and deliver meaningful outcomes. To support that vision, we are building a Product Development discipline focused on ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
A Product Developer owns a portion of the EventConnect product ecosystem and is responsible for making it better. Success is measured by customer outcomes, product quality, and meaningful improvements delivered to production.
Product Developers combine product thinking, stakeholder collaboration, testing, problem solving, and AI-assisted development to identify opportunities and turn them into solutions. They are trusted to exercise judgement, take ownership, and drive improvements from ideas through validation.
This role sits between traditional product management and software development while remaining fully accountable for outcomes.

Why This Role Exists
Our goal is to reduce the distance between identifying a problem and solving it.
We believe the people closest to a product are often best positioned to improve it. Modern AI-assisted development workflows allow Product Developers to move from idea to production faster than ever before while remaining accountable for the outcome.
This role is an opportunity to help shape the future of how EventConnect builds products.
A Note on Ownership
This role comes with significant autonomy and responsibility.
Product Developers are trusted to exercise judgement, make decisions, and drive improvements within their product areas. Not every opportunity requires approval, a project plan, or a ticket. We expect Product Developers to identify problems, validate opportunities, engage stakeholders, and take action.
With that autonomy comes accountability. Product Developers are expected to measure success through outcomes, not activity. The goal is not to complete work—it is to make the product meaningfully better.
A Note on Agentic Development
At EventConnect, AI is not a feature—it is becoming part of how we work.
Product Developers are expected to become proficient in AI-assisted and agentic development workflows. This does not mean spending all day writing prompts or managing agents. It means understanding how to leverage modern tools to research, design, implement, validate, and improve solutions more effectively.
Some Product Developers may occasionally write code directly. Others may rarely open an IDE. Both can be successful in this role.
What matters is the ability to identify opportunities, deliver outcomes, and continuously improve the products entrusted to you.
