EXP is seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist to join our Environmental Group in Ottawa, Ontario. As a senior member of the groundwater team, you will provide technical, project, and client leadership across a broad range of assignments, including:

• Partnering with clients to understand needs and deliver practical, value‑driven solutions
• Leading and shaping scopes of work for public and private clients on small‑ to large‑scale infrastructure projects
• Managing and executing hydrogeological studies, including: 
  • Groundwater resource development
  • Construction dewatering programs
  • Pump test design, analysis, and interpretation
  • Geothermal system assessments
  • Sewer discharge agreements
  • Permit to Take Water (PTTW) applications
• Project management and coordination of site investigation and compliance programs
• Budget oversight, cost control, and invoicing
• Coordinating and supervising field programs
• Reviewing and guiding the technical work of junior and intermediate staff
• Preparing and reviewing high‑quality technical reports
• Supporting proposal development and contributing to business growth

• University degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or a related discipline
  (Master’s degree is an asset)
• 10+ years of experience in physical hydrogeology
• Strong field‑based experience in groundwater supply, hydrogeological investigations, and assessments
• Professional designation in Ontario (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) preferred
• Experience with ESA, excess soil or geo would be considered assets as well as having an ability to speak French.
• Experience with groundwater modelling is an asset
• Proven success developing client relationships and contributing to winning proposals
• Hands‑on experience working with MECP, municipalities, and Conservation Authorities
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary projects from planning through delivery
• Strong business acumen and a practical, solution‑focused mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing junior staff
• Comfortable operating in a high‑demand, fast‑paced environment
