Together with our in-house sales staff they deliver a very high level of customer service.   Job Description  Job Title: Machinist                                                    Date:  April 2026  Reports To:  Fabrication Lead   Summary  As an Experienced Machinist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of American Fan’s manufacturing processes by operating CNC machines, lathes, brake presses and support fabrication tasks in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently..     Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operate and set up CNC mills, lathes, and other machines (3- or 4-axis). Program, monitor, and adjust machines to ensure top-quality output. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide your work. Use measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure precision. Maintain and troubleshoot machines, including minor repairs and tooling upkeep. Perform fabrication tasks like cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Collaborate with the team on continuous improvement and problem-solving. Embody FMD Values of Integrity, Velocity and Teamwork   What We’re Looking For: High School Diploma or GED. 3+ years of machining experience (CNC mills, lathes, manual machines preferred). Skilled in G&M code editing, reading blueprints, and interpreting X, Y, Z coordinates. Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Ability to troubleshoot, adjust speeds/feeds, and perform setups independently. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to quality. Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
