As Fastly continues its global expansion, we are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive field marketing across Japan and the broader APAC region. In this role, you will partner closely with the regional sales leadership and marketing team to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that accelerate pipeline and revenue growth while strengthening brand presence and customer relationships.
You will lead a team of field marketers responsible for delivering high-impact campaigns, events, partner and digital programs tailored to regional needs. This role requires a balance of strategic vision, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure marketing investments are aligned with business goals and deliver measurable ROI.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Define and execute the JAPAC field marketing strategy to drive pipeline growth and revenue attainment
- →Lead and develop a high-performing team of field marketers, fostering innovation and accountability
- →Partner with regional sales leaders to align marketing initiatives with sales priorities across enterprise, mid-market, and growth segments
- →Develop and scale a robust partner marketing program by designing "to-partner" and "through-partner" initiatives that accelerate pipeline and revenue across JAPAC.
- →Collaborate closely with partner sales leadership to design and execute joint marketing programs
- →Own regional marketing budgets, ensuring investments align with revenue targets and deliver strong ROI
- →Develop and implement regional marketing plans that align with global campaigns while addressing local market needs
- →Provide insights into the performance and impact of field marketing programs, including events and campaigns
- →Identify and scale best practices across regions to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
- →Work closely with global marketing teams to adapt messaging, campaigns, and programs for regional execution
- →Ensure strong cross-functional alignment to support field marketing success
- →Build and support team development, ensuring access to resources, budget, and career growth opportunities
- 15+ years of experience in field or event marketing, ideally within enterprise technology
- Deep understanding of the enterprise customer journey and sales process
- Proven experience managing and optimizing marketing budgets, with strong forecasting capabilities
- Track record of close partnership with sales teams to drive measurable business outcomes
- Expertise in developing and executing field-driven demand generation programs
- Strong customer-first mindset with high standards for customer-facing experiences
- Broad marketing knowledge across multiple disciplines
- Adaptability, positivity, and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Self-starter with a strong drive to make an impact
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
- Proficiency in one or more regional languages is a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
This position will require you to be available during core business hours.
- It may also require occasional nights and weekends as necessary to support any events.
