Childcare Worker

First Alliance Church in Lexington has openings for part-time childcare workers. We are currently hiring for the following shifts, with occasional weeknight and weekend opportunities based on availability. Feel free to apply even if you can only work one of the listed shifts.

• Sunday evenings,  through the school year, 4:45-7:15pm
• Wednesday evenings,  through the school year, 5:15-8:30pm
• Thursday mornings, through the school year, 9:15-11:45am
• 3rd Tuesday morning of each month, through the school year, 9:15-11:45am
  

Compensation is $15/hour for adults, $13/hour for minors (14+).  Adult applicants must pass a background check.  Minors must have parental approval and abide by Kentucky child labor laws for their age.

FAC's caregivers are loving, safety-minded, punctual, and reliable. FAC's Childcare Coordinator will be available to provide support and answer questions. Childcare workers serve with a class of children: infant & crawler, toddler & 2 year old, or preschool (3s, 4s, and Kindergartners). Job duties will include but are not limited to the following: greeting parents and children; serving snacks; changing diapers/pull-ups or helping children in the restroom (following FAC’s bathroom procedure); cleaning and organizing the classroom at conclusion of shift (taking out trash, wiping down tables, etc.); and engaging, observing, and interacting with the children during the session.
