At Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG), the Technical Business Analyst plays a pivotal role at the intersection of business, technology, and automation, partnering with stakeholders across Global Business Services, Leisure, Corporate, and Supply.
This specialised role focuses on eliciting and translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable Agile user stories, enabling developers to efficiently design and deliver solutions without rework. Working across platforms like ServiceNow and broader automation technologies (RPA, AI, hyperautomation), you ensure solutions are both technically sound and aligned to business needs.
You will collaborate closely with the Service Product Lead and Manager to manage the end-to-end intake and delivery process, from requirements and planning through to testing and final sign-off, ensuring transparency and strong stakeholder engagement throughout.
By simplifying complexity and bridging business and technical teams, you drive efficient delivery of high-quality, fit-for-purpose solutions that meet customer needs first time. In a fast-paced, evolving environment, this role is key to shaping scalable, intelligent solutions and contributing to a team with a strong reputation across the business.
Day in the life:
- Facilitate business requirements gathering, workshops, and user story mapping
- Support design and development of system enhancements, automation, and innovation initiatives
- Contribute to automation initiatives including RPA, AI, ServiceNow, and hyperautomation solutions
- Analyse business requirements, management systems, process performance, and technical solutions
- Conduct gap analysis and provide clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Define detailed requirements that promote scalability, smart practices, and intuitive user experiences
- Document requirements by studying business functions, gathering user input, and evaluating system outputs
- Partner closely with consultants, developers, architects, and change management teams to develop, test, and implement platform features and new product developments
- Identify and document key business and system processes, business rules, functional and non‑functional requirements
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst
- Strong experience working in technical, platform‑based environments
- Advanced expertise across ServiceNow Platform
- RPA experience with UiPath, MS Power Platform and Copilot Studio
- Experience with AI including Claude and AI capabilities within ServiceNow and UiPath
- Extensive experience within a Product Delivery environment
- Strong understanding of project management and Agile methodology
- Broad experience in Service Delivery Management
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
