Reporting into the VP, Treasury M&A and Trading, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the treasury group evaluation and integration of new business reinsurance and company acquisitions transactions for both Life and Annuity and Property Casualty business lines.  This role will also assist with ongoing trading in support of hedging, borrowing, and collateral management.  This individual will be an integral member of the Treasury and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Treasury representative on the new business due diligence team, monitor deal pipeline, evaluate transactions for treasury touch points to include capital and liquidity use, bank account structures, trust needs, LOCs, debt assumed or terminated, hedging programs, collateral funding requirements and other.

  • Draft internal memos and presentations summarizing the above to assist in transaction approval at the ExCo or Board.

  • Upon announcement of a transaction, support the integration of the new block or company into the treasury and finance department, including recommendation for new staffing and system needs.

  • Support in the evaluation of structured solutions from banking partners to include capital and liquidity optimization.

  • Support any structured solutions through the internal approval process and integrate into treasury and finance areas.

  • As a member of the treasury team, assist in the execution of treasury transactions to include FX hedging, Interest rate hedging, deal contingent hedging, secured and unsecured borrowings, collateral funding, and daily wire flow.

  • Evaluate collateral requirements and collateral sources to determine cheapest to deliver in support of outstanding requirements, potentially in conjunction with structured banking solutions.

  • Maintain, update and standardize treasury related documentation in support of new business evaluation and integration.

  • Support third‑party capital initiatives by assessing capital and collateral adequacy, reviewing settlement processes, bank account set-up and governance, and evaluating lending facilities. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.

  • 7+ years of insurance, accounting, corporate finance, investments or related experience with leadership experience. 

  • CFA, CTP, CPA or similar designation is desirable.

  • Direct experience in reinsurance transactions of Life and Annuity and/or Property and Casualty blocks of business a plus.

  • Direct experience in capital markets, bank account and trust structures a plus.

  • Experience in treasury management systems preferred.

  • Be detail oriented and highly organized.

  • Possess strong verbal / written communication and analytical skills.

  • Highly motivated and results-oriented.

  • Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.  

Base Salary Range
$125,000$150,000 USD
