Senior Cost Engineer

Location: Remote in the US The Senior Cost Engineer at Gordian acts as a technical authority for construction cost data development. This role leads complex projects, ensures adherence to best practices, and mentors engineers to elevate team capabilities. Responsibilities: \- Oversee development and validation of cost data for multiple disciplines, ensuring consistency and accuracy. \- Lead large-scale updates and enhancements to cost databases and assemblies. \- Serve as a subject matter expert for construction methods, codes, and cost modeling. \- Mentor engineers and associate engineers, providing guidance on methodology and quality standards. \- Collaborate with product teams to align data development with customer needs and market trends. \- Drive process improvements and contribute to strategic initiatives for data reliability and efficiency. Additional Agile/ADO Responsibilities: \- Lead Agile workstreams, facilitate backlog refinement, and ensure sprint goals align with product strategy. \- Partner with the Product Owner to translate business needs into actionable tasks and provide technical insights for prioritization. Qualifications: \- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). \- 8+ years of experience in construction estimating or engineering. \- Proven leadership in managing complex data development projects. \- Advanced knowledge of construction practices, codes, and cost modeling. \- Strong communication and mentoring skills. \- Ability to influence process improvements and strategic decisions. Bonus or Equity This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package. Pay Range The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 88,000.00 - 147,000.00
