Forward Careers is hiring a Career Planner for our nationally recognized NEXT healthcare workforce program in a flexible hybrid work environment. In this role, you’ll coach and support adults as they complete training, secure employment, and build long-term career stability - while making a lasting impact in your community.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Career Planner, you’ll guide participants through every stage of their career journey - from enrollment and goal setting to training completion and employment success.

 

Key responsibilities include:

• Building supportive relationships with participants and helping them navigate career pathways
• Providing ongoing support and guidance throughout participants’ career journeys
• Helping participants identify strengths, set goals, and develop individualized career and training plans
• Providing career coaching, resume support, interview preparation, and job search guidance
• Coordinating supportive services and connecting participants to community resources
• Maintaining accurate case documentation and data tracking
• Collaborating with employers, training providers, and community partners
• Supporting participant success and program goals

• Coaching, mentoring, or advising others
• Recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition
• Workforce development or employment services
• Human services or community outreach
• Customer service and relationship-building
• Education, training, or nonprofit work

POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Some occasional evening/community events may be required) 

  Hybrid work options are available after six months of employment

• Primary Location: West Bend or Waukesha, occasional travel as needed
• Wage Range: Hourly Wage: $20–25/hour based on experience, plus strong benefits, retirement plan, paid holidays, professional development opportunities, and summer hours.
