Freedom Power is looking for a Solar Site Assessor to join our team! In this role, you will conduct on-site studies for residential projects. Your evaluation will consist of taking measurements, completing shade reporting, and the overall qualification for solar panel installation. Individuals with prior solar, roofing, and/or construction are highly encouraged to apply!
  • Documenting electrical set-up and capabilities and any existing structure or facility variances
  • Survey residential home projects with a drone, taking photos at various heights and angles 
  • Attending project, weekly operational, and safety meetings
  • Effective, accurate & timely communications with Service and Install Dept.
  • Daily reporting, Computer Skills, Emails, Uploads, and SWF reporting
  • Assist other departments as directed
  • Part 107 FAA certification  
  • At least 1 year of experience in construction, solar or PV strongly preferred OSHA 10 required.
  • Valid Apprentice Electrician license required 
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel/commute to various job sites at least 40%, including some weekends, are requested. 
  • Prior experience and knowledge of residential electrical projects.
  • Must be able to navigate residential roofing systems including multi-story structures
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Must be highly organized and process-oriented
  • Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs and climb ladders 
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • . Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift. 
  • Ability to work in 100+ degree weather
