Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the Role We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join a growing engineering team building secure, scalable, and reliable cloud software in a regulated environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys improving software quality through a balanced approach to automation and exploratory testing. You will help ensure new features are thoroughly tested, critical workflows remain stable, and releases go out with confidence. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and fellow engineers to strengthen test coverage, surface issues early, and improve the overall quality of the product and release process. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, and key product workflows Perform manual and exploratory testing when needed to validate functionality and uncover edge cases Create effective test cases based on product requirements, acceptance criteria, and known risks Identify, document, and track defects clearly and thoroughly Partner with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and improve testability Strengthen regression coverage for business-critical and release-critical features Support CI/CD test execution and help investigate flaky or failed tests Contribute clear test evidence to support product quality and release readiness Help improve testing practices, workflows, and overall engineering quality as the team grows Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver reliable, high-quality software Why Join Us Fully remote work setup Work from anywhere in the Philippines Join a collaborative and high-performing engineering environment Build and improve software that requires reliability, security, and strong quality standards Have real impact on test automation, engineering quality, and release confidence Grow your skills while helping shape scalable testing practices in a growing team Requirements 3+ years of experience in an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or similar role Strong hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated test Experience testing web applications, APIs, or cloud-based software Proficiency in at least one modern programming or scripting language Experience working with source control and alongside application codebases Strong skills in test case design, regression testing, and defect documentation Ability to clearly reproduce issues and communicate findings to developers Comfortable performing manual and exploratory testing when appropriate Strong written communication skills Good judgment on what should be automated versus tested manually Nice to Have Experience testing .NET and Angular applications Experience with Playwright, TUnit, or similar automation tools Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated regression testing Experience testing cloud-native or multi-tenant SaaS platforms Experience with SQL, test data setup, or database validation Experience testing authentication, permissions, RBAC, or sensitive data workflows Exposure to healthcare tech, regulated software, SaMD, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, or FDA-related environments Experience with performance, reliability, security, or deployment validation Familiarity with tools such as New Relic, Aikido, Probely, or similar platforms Benefits Why Join Us Fully remote work setup Work from anywhere in the Philippines Join a collaborative and high-performing engineering environment Build and improve software that requires reliability, security, and strong quality standards Have real impact on test automation, engineering quality, and release confidence Grow your skills while helping shape scalable testing practices in a growing team
